Hoping for improvements

The line of communication is very poor. There is a clear disconnect between management and caregivers leaving the residents missing out on many of the benefits they offer. It just feels they put on a good show to get you to sign up with them and then there's no follow through. Most of the staff are wonderful people... they are just not getting good instruction from management and the residents suffer. Facility is beautiful and it could be a first class operation with proper management.

Medication

Did not follow steps with hospice medications. No call back from the executive. After leaving a message. Some staff members are very caring. The call button on the dresser was not within reach when should have been around mother's neck.

The Springs at Grand Park didn't make a good impression. The gal we met with was alright and was fairly friendly to us. But I noticed the other staff didn’t seem like they interacted with the residents very much. I saw a lot of residents just sitting around staring at the walls in the lobby. We were there during lunchtime, and the dining room was dead silent except for silverware against plates. There was no conversation or interaction.

My experience has been wonderful so far with no complaints.

Definitely recommend

What really stood out to us right away was when we initially had our tour the staff were all interacting with the present residents. The staff were all clustered around the residents interacting with each other, talking and hugging one another. It felt very personable and family like. Our loved one eats every meal that is provided and we have been very pleased with all the different activities they offer. The staff are very attentive and friendly.

This community every time we come to visit is very very clean, and the staff are extremely friendly. They are very gentle with the residents there and have a lot of patience with them. They could improve their communication between the hospice team a little bit but overall this community is very nice. We would recommend this community to others especially if your loved one is more active and can get to and from places on their own.
