Westminster Village welcomes seniors to a vibrant homey community 2 miles from Purdue University. In case of a medical emergency, seniors have access to a hospital less than a mile from the community. Travel a few miles southeast to explore the city of Lafayette, Indiana, that has many historic neighborhoods. Residents here can start a new hobby, with options ranging from pottery to woodworking. Participate in classes at the spacious fitness center. With two indoor pools, seniors have access to a lap or therapy pool depending on their physical needs. Relax in the cushioned seating underneath the pergola on the patio. Or, sit around the pond in the garden surrounded by vibrant greenery. Chef-prepared meals are served in the casual cafe and pub. PositiveMy mother who has Alzheimer's disease recently fell, fractured her pelvic and had to have in patient therapy. We chose Westminster Village because they are known as the best around. Also, because I work in the industry, I know more ins and outs as well as staff so that definitely influenced my decision on where mom should rehab. CriticalJust stay on them and ask lots of questions until you get the answer. There is several different departments to deal with, not one person leads you through the process. Many departments do not have late afternoon or early evening hours to accommodate working children of prospective resident/ resident. Must leave work to deal with. We picked this community because it was friendly people and lots to offer, but we were let down in many areas for the money we're paying.
