Mom's best life

The staff is wonderful. caring attentive and professional. they keep the facility near and clean at all times very welcoming and homey feel. mom has never complained about the food so that says volumes. we are extremely happy and confident mom is living her best life in their care.

Beautiful facility, can be incredibly difficult to actually get in!

It's a beautiful, clean place with lots of things for the residence to do, I'm sure [name removed] would've LOVED it there. Unfortunately they made it so difficult for us to actually get in for our one month respite stay that I was never able to get him in. I ended up under twice as much stress as I was before when this was supposed to be a respite for me. He ended up being stuck 45 minutes away from home in a different house while we were waiting to get him in into Whitby and then when we finally got the greenligh…

My mom is 83 years old and needing more attention of care but at the same time she's still independent. She has always lived alone for a very long time and we wanted her to to still feel that way. We choose Whitby Point because of what they are able to offer and that is independent living and at the same time assit her with her needs. Our family's experience

Unfortunately our experience at Brookdale Whitby was not good. The facility itself was dirty and hallways smelled like urine, there were roaches in the bedrooms, and short staffed. In ever facility we went to the management always changed and made it difficult to communicate with anyone.

Wonderful Caregiver Staff!

Activities, food, dining were all fantastic. And all the staff was amazing and they were so good to Mom, until May when they brought in a new executive director. Her name was [name removed]. She was horrible to the staff and didn't care about the residents. All she cared about was nickel and diming my mother along with other residents. The staff started putting in reports about her and one day she just didn't show up. Shes gone now but please beware of her name. She should not be working with seniors. She is not a …
