In my experience, the new ownership appears to prioritize profits over resident care. I observed ongoing concerns regarding medication management, care planning, staffing, and overall quality of care. Care staff were frequently required to work extended 16-hour shifts, often without breaks, and there seemed to be little support or adequate training for both caregivers and management. The experience with the leadership staff has been very good. Always responsive and trying to be helpful. I thinks they could have done a better job helping us to get to know the service staff and the procedures for communications. We are surprised that the overall atmosphere is pretty closed. Residents doors are largely closed all of the time and there are few efforts to encourage social interaction. For example, everyone has to eat at the same table for every meal.
