I took my father for lunch and he liked it.. The villa's in Holmdel left us cold - too big. The Atria in Tinton Falls seemed just a little tired. So it seemed like a good fit. Also the location is between my brothers in Middletown and me in Brielle.

Overall my experience with the staff has been positive. Most of the staff have been wonderful. My mom is in memory care and now hospice. Hospice staff have been very supportive and caring. My biggest issue is night time bed checks. She has fallen out of bed several times and hasn't been check on for hours. I'm working with director to fix these issues.

Our family member really values the meal and dining options in terms of the variety that's offered. And enjoys that the dining times are staggered so you can have earlier dinner sometimes or later one. The outdoor activities have been really enjoyable for them as well as the ice cream truck days. With the level of care that our family member is receiving compounded with all the amenities and activities it's definitely more affordable than live in the/at home care. It was a pleasure to work with The Chelsea at Shrewsbury. The staff were always available to answer questions, and were there to care for my loved one and the other residents. There were three meals a day, and the residents had choices to choose from for every meal. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.
