THE ARBORS, Memory CARE IN RENO NV mom moved into The Arbors in [year removed]. I live out of state; my sibling lives in Reno. In [date removed] I visited, they forgot to bring mom her lunch. As a retired professional from the health care industry, I'm a huge critic of care facilities catering to seniors and dementia patients. There was a time when I would have struggled with recommending this place but now I will recommend it to anyone who has a family member or friend in need of memory care. IF I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW, NO WAY!

I will say RUN, don’t walk AWAY! My Mom hated it there and would always tell me she would never come back to that place again! I moved her to another memory care facility and she hasn’t said that about the new place once and loves it! Some of the caregivers were good, some just liked to hide in supply rooms or other areas of Arbor’s. Most days it was almost impossible to see someone in the common areas supervising the elderly. This facility appears to be well maintained and managed. Very friendly and thoughtful and caring. Easy to get to from anywhere in the Reno/ Sparks area. This facility appears to be very secure and safe while providing a feeling of openness.

Don't take your loved one here. My grandmother died from internal bleeding from a terrible fall here. This turned out to be her second fall. She stressed to me multiple times she hated it there. Visitors weren't allowed in her room either. I could go on and on.
