CriticalOnce my dad was there most of the staff and the new director left. For months he tried to get enough to eat. Being a diabetic he needs, healthy high protein, and healthy high fiber carbohydrates. The menu had suffered as the cook left or was replaced under the new management. The absolute worst thing they have done was deny my dad and his SERVICE Animal a ride in the van to the vets office! As you can imagine, dad is looking for someplace new.
★★★★★
PositiveI honestly don't have any complaints (EXCEPT for the lack of parking & the low height on the parking garage. If you don't have a car or SMALL suv, you're not getting in. Overflow parking is non-existent). EVERY staff member spoke to us EVERY time while visiting there. They were all ready to listen and/or to have a conversation with you. Respectful, smiling, good all around vibe. His apt was definitely spacious. It was move-in ready & the staff was very informative about non-profits, etc in case my father ([name r…

CriticalMy son was actually the one that attended the tour. According to him he wasn’t impressed by the facility it’s kind of run down and they didn’t offer much incentives. The staff was not as pleasant or as informative.
★★★★★
PositiveA nice place for someone with a modest income. Meals are tasty & they have lots of activities for residents. They are also very willing to bring meals to you when youre not well. The biweekly room cleaning is also very benefitial for someone having difficulty moving around. They are under new management, but they seem to be doing well in their care so far.

PositiveArlington Plaza is absolutely beautiful, and in a beautiful neighborhood close to a park and lake. I toured the community with [name removed], who greeted me, and everyone we passed with a smile and kind expression. She was extremely knowledgeable about the community, and more importantly extremely helpful with getting my dad interested in staying at Arlington Plaza! (Dad was not real keen about not living alone.)
★★★★★
CriticalThe location is amazing due to it being next to a lake and a park and it's safe. Staff is always changing up so maintenance is inconsistent and you do have to remind stuff quite a few times if you want something to be done. My mother has mentioned that the food isn't the best but they do serve three hot meals a day plus snacks. My mother still pays a decent price because she moved in when they were doing renovations but I've heard from the other residents that it's too expensive for many when comparing value versus…
