Artis Senior Living of Branford At Artis, we help people living with dementia achieve the essential human need for purpose, belonging, and joy by building a bridge between their lifelong identity and present daily life. By “Honoring Yesterday, Celebrating Today,” we create safer, more connected, more celebrated lives. Our holistic well-being framework is comprised of four essential components, in optimal combination: supportive environment, discreet care, social connection, and cognitive health. We collaborate with the resident, their family, doctors, and care partners to create an assessment-based plan of care, with supervision by on-site 24-hour licensed nursing staff and 24-hour dementia care-trained associates on-site. We also offer coordination with third-party and visiting therapists, clinicians, and specialists. Our thoughtfully designed community consists of four distinct, locally themed neighborhoods, 12,000+ sq. ft. of secure outdoor space with walking paths and seating, and a Town Square with centralized amenities. Suites featuring doorway shadow boxes to aid wayfinding, dedicated family photo shelving, and ADA-compliant bathrooms. We make mealtime both nourishing and meaningful, with dietitian-approved menus served family-style on brightly colored place settings to encourage appetite. Special diets are happily accommodated. We honor each resident’s history, interests, and personal qualities, with opportunities to build strength and balance, restore dexterity and cognitive skills, bond with neighbors and unlock memories through music, reduce stress, have a voice in community events, and continue to make a difference.

Artis Senior Living in Branford is an amazing place, beautifully and carefully designed to meet the specific needs of elders with dementia and to keep them safe and happy. The staff is professional and kind, the food is delicious and healthy, and the activities are fun and varied, tailored to the age and tastes of the community. My dad is not the easiest to please and he actually has not one complaint about it . They do many activities with the residents ,he is well groomed by staff they are all very friendly It was a great choice for my dad we are both happy I highly recommend this place

It was a wonderful place - they took care of my husband as if he was family. They did everything they could to help us, it was very difficult for my family and myself at the end of the of his life they did everything for him ,their kindness was incredible. The staff at every level is competent and caring. They work well as a team, pitching in where ever help was needed. My only concern, although there was never an issue, is that, during the last year there was several major changes in staff leadership. It was worrisome, but the quality of care never suffered. Food is wholesome and prepared well. The selection of meals tends to repeat often. Stuffed shells and shrimp tend to be frequent dishes. Artis provides a good variety of activities for the residents every day.…

PositiveA community of caring professionals.
During my first tour I was so amazed at how friendly all the employees were, I actually suspected they had been coached to act friendly when they saw someone on tour. My suspicion was totally unfounded! The staff, from Director to the maintenance personnel, always greet visitors and residents (“neighbors” at Artis) with a smile and a hello. It isn’t long before they all know visitor’s names and who they’re associated with. Beyond friendliness, the staff is very professional. The neighbor’s family is kept aware of …

PositiveWonderful Place for my Mom
Wonderful facility for my mom! Beautifully decorated inside and out! The grounds are beautifully manicured with lots of flowers and trees with a lovely patio where residents can enjoy being outside and they barbecue and the patients eat outside from time to time ! The staff is awesome and are attentive to all the residents, very caring and compassionate! It was my mothers birthday recently and Artis baked her a huge cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday and then after dinner one of the care workers bought cupcakes …
