CriticalNot as it seems
I would not recommend Artis of Somers at this time. During the onboarding process, I was told that everything was included—doctors, PT/OT, 24-hour nursing, housekeeping, meals, and medication management. The onboarding manager who gave me this information no longer works there, and the reality did not match what was promised. Once my loved one arrived, I learned that only a primary care doctor is available on-site. Any other specialists—such as a dentist, neurologist, or podiatrist—must be arranged separately. Hou…

PositiveOverall a good place
I would say the room gets a five and the food gets a 5 as well. Activities is very hard to operate with these people that are losing their memory, but they've made a good effort and I give them a four The night staff gives a five they were excellent, but the morning staff was about a two I came there in the mornings sometimes and I felt like there was very little staff and that's when the elder people get up early All in all, it's a good place.

All are 5 , Artis is amazing. The care the staff the activities. Rooms are a comfortable size for 1 person with their own private bathroom. Pluses you can bring your own furnishings if you want and decorate to personal taste. Rooms are kept clean by staff on a daily basis. Meals always smell good and look great. My father in law has also commented on how good the food is at Artis. PositiveExcellent memory csre
Artis Senior Living has been a godsend for me. My brother is always clean, his room is always clean, and the staff makes sure he participates in activities. The staff are wonderful and very communicative, calling me frequently with updates on him during his first month there and anytime something unusual happens thereafter. The atmosphere is very warm and intimate, not institutional. I highly recommend this facility if memory care is needed.
