Review for Avamere at Cheyenne

Avamere took good care of my mom, and overall we had a positive experience. She enjoyed the food. The facility was clean, and her room was very spacious for the price. The staff were caring, kind, and treated her with compassion. One area that could be improved is housekeeping, as her room was not cleaned as often as we would have liked. Overall, we appreciated the care my mom received and are grateful for the kindness shown to her.

Very disappointing

Where do I start, when we moved our mom in we informed them she needed memory care, they don’t have the staff to care from memory care patients but they claim that they do my mom just wonders around with nothing to do the activities room is always empty with the worker playing the Wii all by herself no residents in sight only bingo,secondly when she got there not even a year ago-the dining room experience was very pleasant great every day menu items & choices now it’s a total downgrade they have sandwiches every da…

The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The residents we saw along the tour were all friendly and kind. There are plenty of room configuration options for residents, and they are roomier in person than they appear on paper. The rooms are a bit dated mostly noted in the kitchenettes, but when you are not using them for cooking they are completely fine. Nice facility and location.

I wanted to let you know Avamere in the beginning was very nice but[name removed] was only there one day under their hospice care and she passed away and we gave them a check for [Amount Removed] and they cashed it right away. we are still trying to get the funds some of it back. They charge us a [Amount removed] fee for a community fee. They refused to refund any of that back although she was only there one day and they're holding [Amount removed] out of the room rate and we still haven't gotten the check. We defi…

I was looking for a place for my 70 yr old brother. We met with [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] within the first couple of visits. Every question we had was answered and the visits and their patience were the best anyone could ask for. I highly recommend using A Place For Mom.

My husband and I toured Avamere at lunch time and had a complimentary lunch. They were having a bbq that day but we had a couple of burgers. The dining room was busy with visitors and residents. Everyone was very friendly and several stopped by our table to say hi. They were having some repair work done in a couple of areas from some previous water damage so there were workers around as well.
