PositiveThe staff, especially the Activity Director, are great! They seem to go out of their way to make us feel like we count!! We have had a whole week of activities surrounding the movie Jaws, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary of when it first aired!! She's amazing and really seems to care about each and everyone of us! Our rooms are cleaned weekly. We can come and go as we please. I still drive so I can go to church every Sunday. We have different games that we play, some after lunch and others after dinner. …

PositiveI really like it here. I'm not sure how to rate #4 because I'm not in assisted living and thus do not receive any care. However, they clean our apartments and change and wash the sheets weekly, generally. We have a good relationship with mgmt. I would rate administrative staff a 5. They seem to be on top of things and will listen and respond to any issues. The food leaves something to be desired. But they do have periodic meetings where tenants can express their concerns. They do quite well on Activities.

CriticalMy wife has not been overly accepting of the staff. Some are more successful with handling her resistance than others. At times she seems to be comfortable and resolved but she can be very upset (crying and mad). I knew it is a hard job, but I do expect the staff to be trained for her better than I am.

PositiveYes, I would recommend this community to other families. I love where I'm living! It's a beautiful place and I have had so many wonderful experiences here and have enjoyed meeting so many new friends here that I already feel blessed to know. All in all, it is much better than where my sister is living. And, instead of having only one room and a bath, Aviva offers one and two bedrooms with a kitchen and living room. PositiveThe food is much better than my parents previous facility. I like the privacy of their apartment and the fact my parents don’t have to deal with people wondering. They are very good about responding to questions I have. The caregivers really seem to care. I especially like the watches the residents wear that is also a call button and alerts caregivers of a fall. I think their services are good for the cost incurred.
