My sister and I have had considerable experience with memory care facilities through the needs of our parents and now our brother. The relationships with some other places started good but deteriorated with the change of key personnel or new management/owner. This time we feel like we found THE golden egg. I am currently a resident at Barber Station. I think I would recommend Barber Station Senior Living, with some caution. Communication with the family is somewhat limited. For instance: they didn't tell me that they don't have an accessible van. They only have a regular passenger car. Lots of the residents can't go anywhere.

Lovely facility, great direct care staff

Barber Station is a lovely new clean facility. They are still learning how to be a memory care facility. I appreciated the family style dining. I purposely visited during this time so I could meet the other residents and see how the staff cared for them. The direct care staff did great, and I felt they cared about and kept safe, clean and with dignity, both my dad and the other residents. The experience was great. Everyone seemed caring and kind. I would highly recommend Barber Station. It was a great value and we felt really safe and my mom was very content there.

I'd say that the staff is friendly and helpful. The environment is warm and friendly. Mom stays active with the other residents and is settling in nicely.My mom seems very happy there so far!
