And as a growing cultural center, Boise has plenty of shopping and dining options and excellent public libraries. In this 80-bed community, all residents receive their own private room, and all assisted living rooms come with a private bathroom and a kitchenette. The large windows let in lots of natural light and allow residents to enjoy the picturesque setting. While the goal of the assisted living wing is to provide residents with just as much help as they need to remain independent, every unit has an emergency pendant, and on-call nurses are available 24/7 to assist with any medical emergencies. For daily needs, kind and professional caregivers can help with dressing, bathing, and medication reminders. Caregivers who specialize in helping seniors with memory loss offer residents a sense of security and belonging as they engage them in activities designed to provide cognitive stimulation. My sister and I have had considerable experience with memory care facilities through the needs of our parents and now our brother. The relationships with some other places started good but deteriorated with the change of key personnel or new management/owner. This time we feel like we found THE golden egg. CriticalI am currently a resident at Barber Station. I think I would recommend Barber Station Senior Living, with some caution. Communication with the family is somewhat limited. For instance: they didn't tell me that they don't have an accessible van. They only have a regular passenger car. Lots of the residents can't go anywhere.

PositiveLovely facility, great direct care staff
Barber Station is a lovely new clean facility. They are still learning how to be a memory care facility. I appreciated the family style dining. I purposely visited during this time so I could meet the other residents and see how the staff cared for them. The direct care staff did great, and I felt they cared about and kept safe, clean and with dignity, both my dad and the other residents.
