PositiveI moved my mother from another facility because I was unhappy with the care she was getting. This location has the most caring staff. I haven’t met one uncaring person. My has dementia and is treated gently and with dignity.

PositiveI wasn't sure what to think when I first pulled up to the community it is old and could use a facelift.[Name Removed] did let me know currently undergoing a renovation. They're starting with the residence areas first. staff was great everyone was engaged with the residents the rooms are great size overall I was pleasantly surprised with my experience.

CriticalThis is very inhumane—having an elderly person living with bugs in the refrigerator. I wonder how long that has been there; maybe about a month. This is completely unacceptable. When you decide to work in healthcare and take care of an elderly person, you have to make sure their living space supports their well-being, safety, and overall…

CriticalPlease do not put a loved one in this facility, and report this horrible hellhole!!! I am a utility worker and when I was in this shelter, I was shocked when I witnessed the completely filthy, unsafe, garbage dump. I cannot believe that they can get away with taking elderly folks' money and giving them the worst filthiest conditions and making them suffer through it. Unbelievable.

PositiveI heard a lot of bad reviews about Vick Street Manor. This is my mother's fourth assisted living facility. In the past, communities would make her go to bed at 8, get up at 7, she was expected to sit in front of a TV.If she lashed out they would medicate her and she would have reactions to the medication. Vick Street is completely different, it's a locked unit and she is allowed to walk up and down the halls all day. She is allowed to help the staff with simple tasks like putting out chairs for the dining room. My …
