Review for Brookdale Jackson Oaks

The staff is friendly, though they often seem overworked due to the high turnover rate. That’s been my biggest concern with Brookdale. Otherwise, the community is clean, welcoming, and makes a genuine effort to keep residents engaged with activities. The food is sometimes comparable to school cafeteria fare and can be repetitive. I supplement my mom’s meals with groceries to add some variety, but overall it’s adequate. The room sizes are reasonable, although I’m upgrading my mom to a larger room for an additional…

Great staff. Good food. Clean spaces. My sister is excited to see how it works out for her. Appreciate the flexible stay terms.

A Good Fit Early On, But Not for Later Stages

Brookdale would be fine for someone who isn't as far along but if someone is aggressive or needs more care they weren't as good. Brookdale was fine when Mom could go to the bathroom on her own. But as she declined and needed more help they didn't do as good and could not handle her being aggressive.

Tour of the facility was impressionable and we received a lot of valuable information. As is most independent an assisted living facilities they are fairly expensive, one must consider it includes a lot of amenities. The buildings appeared clean, staff was kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. The biggest downside was/is the lack of security and cameras around the outside perimeter. While not a deal breaker it has become the norm in today’s environment.

From Farm Life to Assisted Living, Brookdale has made it as easy as possible.

Great staff that has helped with my mother's transition to assisted living from living independently. The services provided (food, medical and mental support) and the regular visitation of staff to check on mom.

Review for Brookdale Jackson Oaks

Some of the staff is wonderful but some of the staff isn't so great. It's hit or miss. I would recommend it and the memory care building is fairly new. The assisted living part is pretty old though.
