Brookdale Latrobe

This was the first facility I toured, so I can't compare it to others. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and with the size of the rooms. It seems like it would be a great place for my husband for a respite stay while I have surgery.

Completely impressed -the nurse who gave me the tour was outstanding!!!! She was wonderful with the residents and explained everything about about the facility- I believe her name was [name removed] and had worked there for 18 years. I absolutely was sold and was going to recommend the facility. The person that I wanted to stay there had a significant turn in health and has to be on skilled nursing. Very clean, just very nice - I will recommend to others.

Very nice facility with good programs that should meet our needs for my sister’s rehabilitation program.

My Mother's Experience

I would give the facility a 5 based on my mom's experience. She noted that the staff were exceptionally prepared and caring. She enjoyed the frequent activities and independent feel to the community.

Brookdale Latrobe

The rooms are very nice as is the dining room. They need to improve upon their ratio for CNA's to residence. It takes almost 45 minutes for them to respond to a call bell. I was there and witnessed myself. In the evening they had one CNA for 22 residents. The management ex spends much time blaming other personnel than being accountable to fix issues. Often times I found them being nasty to residence.

Friendly & caring facility

The staff is friendly - nice. They listen to your requests and any questions / issues have been resolved. My mom was at another facility and when I would talk and ask questions I was basically ignored - they were talk and no action Brookdale is totally opposite. That makes me feel better and I am more relaxed about having my mom here. My mom hurt her leg and [name removed] and [name removed] have been great!
