They are often without enough help. They went for 2- 3 months without someone to clean the rooms. When there was a fire alarm, no one checked with the people on the third floor and 2 employees were smoking cigarettes outside. It was a false alarm but the residents did not know that. I was there with my parents on the third floor and we saw no one the entire time the alarm was going off.

Terrific and caring staff

Brookdale Meadowmont has a high staff to resident ratio. It's a small facility. They focus on developing personal relationships with the residents.

Medication management issues

Staff is OK. Some are really good and others aren't at all. Activities are good . Their medication management is abysmal. I had several days where I was given incomplete medication or incorrect doses, and when I opened the my meds they returned to me at the end of my stay they included medication that belonged to another resident. I also found medication on the hallway floor on 2 occasions.

Review for Brookdale Meadowmont

Brookdale Meadowmount has my recommendation. They take good care of me.

Meadowmont Review

They have been wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend using their facilities. [name removed] went above and beyond during the move from [community removed]to Meadowmont. I couldn’t have done it without him. [name removed]’ s brother comes to see her every week and he has no complains, so far. I live in another state and the staff notifies me my friend needs anything,

My sister and I were looking for a facility for our mom and met with [name removed] at Brookdale Chapel Hill. While we ultimately decided to move her back to Maryland, we cannot express enough how impressed we were with [name removed], his presentation and the faicilty. If need ever arises in Chapel Hill, Brookdale will be our first choice!
