PositiveAfter my husband died. My daughter wanted me in a place closer to her. And one that was more secure for me. Brookdale has everything I need plus more. The main thing that made me happiest is having a pool downstairs that I could go to every day on my scooter by myself, I love my swimming, and it's the perfect place for me. People are very friendly caring. I'm willing to help me at any situation.

PositiveI am very happy living at Brookdale Park Place. The local management is responsive, maintenance is handled quickly, and the other residents are interesting and interested individuals, for the most part. There is, of course, always room for some improvement. While there are some stellar meals here, there are also a number that suffer from too frequent repetition. This may be due to economic necessity. The monthly price has also gone up dramatically in the last two years especially. While the economy obviously is t…

PositiveWe were not convinced it was time to make a change. Then we visited Park Place and knew we had found our new home. High rise living fits for us. The views open us to a world beyond. The elevators provide opportunity to meet and greet our neighbors. The decor welcomes homey comfort. There are many positives: friendly, accommodating staff; unusually good and varied food for a dining room serving a lot of people; responsive maintenance department; a wide variety of activities designed to please various interests; ou…

PositiveThe facility is well run and provides an excellent community for my mother. My only comment is the facility is showing its age and needs to under go a full renovation. They are upgrading the furnishings but more needs to be done.

PositiveMy Mom has lived at Brookdale Park Place for almost 10 years now. I have realized that during this time, BPP has become not only her home, but a home for all of us, too. We now have so many good memories of being together at BPP that I do feel like it's where all of us belong, not just Mom. That starts with [name removed] excellent communication and care and filters down through her whole staff: [names removed] at the front desk, [names removed] and all the excellent helpers in Brookdale at Home, [name removed] and…

PositiveMy Mother has been living at Brookdale Park Place for 9 years in independent living and has recently moved to assisted living. She has a a wonderful experience there in independent living. She has joined several clubs including reading club and bridge club. She has been on several field trips over this time including the museums, botanic gardens, and plays. Over this time the staff and administration has been very responsive to her physical and medical needs. Her move to assisted living has been hard but the staff…
