The room is very small. That would be the biggest drawback. The staff is just wonderful!! Based on the experience so far, we would definitely recommend Brookdale Roanoke to other families.

The staff is gentle with the residents and they understand dementia. They work really hard. The activities people include everyone no matter the residents ability. They do their best to keep in clean but that's a never ending process. The room size is adequate. The cook, [name removed], is wonderful!

I closely know the entire staff by name. And, they know mine. Because Brookdale Roanoke is small, the residents get one on one care. There are no elevators, alarms do not go off if a Resident wants to walk outside. The food is amazing! I had dinner there last night for my mother's 82nd. Birthday. My mother is happy and safe. She says this. She also gives tours to potential new residents. She says...this is her house! Also...the daily activities are great. The residents are not encouraged to stay in their rooms and…
