Community Amenities and Services Through partnering with families in education, transition assistance, and frequent communication through the Sagely app, we can provide resources for residents and family members as they navigate through the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Along with family partnership and educating, we put significant focus on engaging residents where they’re at with purposeful programming, socialization, Signature Dining, and overall wellness. Through our JEA-exclusive Meaningful Moments program, our caregivers spend time incorporating each resident’s life story into their daily care plan, building comfort and a sense of meaning into each activity. From watering the courtyard garden to makeovers in the activity room, movie matinees to book clubs, balloon volleyball to baking cookies, bingo, spa activities, and more, residents at Cedar Ridge have options for their days. Living Arrangements Our warm, welcoming community provides residents with private and companion suites. Along with our spacious floor plans, we’ve designed each suite to make residents feel even more at home. Residents are encouraged to decorate their space with family photos and their favorite furnishings. Our weekly housekeeping and laundry services help keep spaces clean and comfortable, while you enjoy doing the things you love. For families in need of temporary care, we also provide short-term respite care services. Temporary residents can enjoy all the same services and amenities as permanent residents at Cedar Ridge. Live a life of unmatched care and optimal comfort, at Cedar Ridge. Care Types Offered Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center is a Type B assisted living facility . In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows: Assisted Living Facility A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities: Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted. Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair. Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
