Cedarhurst of Yorkville

Our Families experience

I ended up going with Cedarhurst for my sister. It is very expensive but was one of two places that were nice, not dirty and didn't treat their "memory care patients " as second class citizens. My sister will end up in a memory care unit within a few years. Cedarhurst and a place in Plainfield were the best places by far. Great communication and support

5 for all of them. The cost is not cheap at all. Mom would probably not be there if she did not have long/term health care coverage. Having said that, the staff has done a wonderful job of taking care of mom and making sure she gets the care she needs. The staff gives regular updates on their app of the activities, including pics. Review for Cedarhurst of Yorkville

Overall it's a good facility. Some concerns with amount of turnover of leadership and staff, and communication has been a problem at times. Attention to dad's needs has improved in last 6 months, which he needs.

It seemed very clean and well run. Everyone seemed friendly. They had nicer residents rooms. The cookies were good that they gave me!! A number of residents were around and seemed content. It was a longer drive for me than Plainfield.

Our family had an in-person tour and it was a really nice community and was our second choice but the community was just too far away.

I toured this facility. It was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly.
