PositiveCan use your own doctor. That was important to me. Also I use my pharmacy. Some furnishings are provided.

PositiveMy dad was on the edge of needing a nursing home (vs high acuity assisted living). Daylesford assured me they would be able to meet his needs. Staff was usually willing to help with anything he asked, but were not necessarily observant in seeing what he needed. Night shift was not his favorite- variety of reasons. End of life hospice would have not been comfortable for him if I hadn't intervened (which in fairness, was recommended by a staff member). PositiveThe staff is very attentive and rooms are near a nurses' station. The apartment is roomy and nicely furnished. The food is GOOD and residents can eat at any time during the day. The frd ont desk is always staffed.

CriticalFacilities look nice, but careless and insufficient staff in the memory care unit. Our mom had bruises on her head and hands from rough handling. One day I visited and was horrified to see her with her head sideways lying on the table drooling, with nobody even trying to help her. Don't put your parents here if they need a higher level of care. Management was also indifferent and sometimes even hostile, especially when it came to disagreements with the hospice care staff.
