CriticalHighlights and low lights of Eden Vista, and helping your loved one
Highlights: aides and nurses who go above and beyond to help your loved one have a good life. Decent food. Activity calendar. Cleanliness (except for mold in his room that we had to clean ourselves). Lowlights: finding my dad falling out of a chair during activities, aides sitting around talking and laughing and not helping him up. Not making sure he got bathed when he was supposed to be bathed. Finding him dead in his room. Sending us an invoice “because we didn’t give them 60 days notice” shortly after his death…

Care was not as good as it should be. Short staff and slow response to calls. Probably not recommend at those times unless they have changed their practices. I believe they were changing owners at the time and a lot was in upheaval but still unsafe practices.
