Our cozy, one-story community offers comprehensive memory care services in the heart of Illinois. Grand View is located in the River City of Peoria, Illinois, which is the largest city on the Illinois River and features gorgeous gardens, an enclosed courtyard, and plenty of outdoor spaces — where residents can sit, relax, and soak up the River City views. Located halfway between Chicago and St. Louis, nestled along the Illinois River, Peoria gives big city amenities with just the right amount of small town hospitality. Grand View sits nearby Donovan Park, Forest Park Nature Center, several shopping, dining, and entertainment options as well as UnityPoint Health-Proctor. Residents who love wildlife can enjoy birdwatching in local parks, visiting Peoria Zoo, watching boats travel along the Illinois River, and spending some time at one of the many golf courses. Community Amenities and Services At Grand View, residents can choose between long-term memory care service arrangements or short-term respite care, all the while benefiting from around-the-clock quality personal care services and assistance, routine housekeeping, laundry services, and meal preparation. We also provide educational resources and transition assistance for residents and family members as they navigate through the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Living Arrangements Residents of Grand View have the choice of private, semi-private, and companion suites. Each suite is designed to be familiar, offering even more comfort in our homelike environment. PositiveFirst Six Weeks at Grand View
Very happy right now. We are about 6 weeks into this and my kids and I feel we made the right decision. I'm here everyday, so I get to observe a lot...so far all good. Hard to put all in a text, but nurses are really on top of any issues. Food is very good (I'm here now and we just had chicken cordon Bleu for lunch). Tables are set with tablecloths and cloth napkins. A lot of activities offered daily. I guess my only complaint is the coffee is weak. I found out that is intentional as a lot of caffeine can interact …

Not good at all for people with Alzheimer’s that need total care. I took my mom out of there & placed her elsewhere. Wasn't very happy with the care there. It was suggested by A Place For Mom

CriticalHorrible experience
Awful experience and horrible people. They let the residents with dementia roam the halls and walk into rooms, in the middle of the night. There was NO supervision at night and zero accountability. They dumped my brother in the hospital waiting room and left him.

Probably one of better homes in area. Excellent head nurse ([name removed]). Most staff very good. Could & should improve staff to resident ratio. Needs more music and activities. Clean facility in good neighborhood. 100% memory care is great so the dementia residents are not step-children.
