About Haven Care Dogwood

Haven Care – Dogwood House is a small, secure residential memory care home serving individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related conditions. Located in the Rio Rancho area, Dogwood House offers a quiet residential setting designed to support safety, routine, and individualized care in a home-like environment. Haven Care has been providing senior care services in the greater Albuquerque and Rio Rancho communities for nearly 30 years and specializes exclusively in residential memory care. We are locally owned and operated, not part of a national chain, and our care philosophy is centered on smaller homes that allow for consistency, familiarity, and meaningful caregiver–resident relationships. Dogwood House serves up to six residents, allowing caregivers to provide attentive, personalized support throughout the day and night. The home is fully secured and staffed 24 hours a day to ensure resident safety, dignity, and ongoing supervision. Residents receive comprehensive assisted living services, including medication management, assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, and individualized supervision based on their needs. Care plans are customized and adjusted as residents’ conditions change. In addition to daily caregiving staff, Haven Care’s Administrator and Compliance Director are regularly present in the home, supporting staff, monitoring care delivery, and ensuring consistent standards and regulatory compliance. Meaningful daily engagement is incorporated into the home’s routine based on residents’ abilities and interests, encouraging social interaction and purposeful activity in a comfortable setting. Residents also enjoy access to secure outdoor areas for fresh air and gentle movement. Nutritious, home-style meals and snacks are prepared daily. When appropriate, families may choose to coordinate third-party services, such as hospice care, to support residents as their needs evolve. Haven Care works collaboratively with outside providers while continuing to deliver consistent daily care.
