Friendly, helpful staff

We recently had to switch from assisted living to memory care and the staff was excellent in helping. The facility common areas are in excellent shape. My father in laws new room stinks like urine that we cannot get out :( All the staff members have been super helpful. They seem attentive to his needs. He loves the food. They try to engage the residents in the activities.

Great community for older adults, great financial assistance program available as well! Community was very clean and lunch smelled great. Staff was very inviting and friendly. Residents were playing bingo when I arrived and had a large group attending.

Wonderful

The community is always very clean. The staff has been nothing short of helpful. My mother really enjoys staying here. He care is wonderful and the community always seems to help at anyway they can. They have fun activities all through the month. I love that I can look at the calendar and see what is going on to then try to talk with our mother about.

Very Nice place for Mom

Heritage Woods in Watseka is a Very Nice place. Relatively new, spacious and well lit hallways, large lobby (open to second floor) so soring ceiling makes it feel even bigger. All areas have been clean every time I visit Mom, no matter what day of the week or what time of day. Now the down side. Assisted living apt should have a reasonably useable kitchen. Small microwave and a 'college room" refrigerator makes it almost impossible to make a snack let alone a meal when Mom would rather not have whatever is on the…

Billing

Clean and enjoyable except they are trying to bill me for time my mother was not there. They also have the residents apply for food stamps if they are Medicaid eligible When my mom was moved to a nursing home I paid for the time she was there until I turned in the keys which was for 10 days- now they have an attorney on me demanding an additional $1000 I have asked for a breakdown and detailed bill to no avail So be sure you understand the amounts on your bill and go over it with a fine tooth comb
