PositivePositive all one level no stairs great dining area with windows they also use for activities. Good room sizes. Have dental and podiatrist that comes on site. Pet friendly. Nice outside area. Negative: price (omg). Alert necklace does not include fall alert (but was told they will be adding a fall alert system in the rooms). The room door locks are now a punch key pad hard or impossible for memory or dimentia residents to use so many leave room doors open.

PositiveHave had 3 activities directors over last year. Mom never remembers. Calendar needs to be posted on website. I never know what mom does. It's expensive and had another rate increase this year. As far as comments...the place itself is just wonderful and has a cozy feel. A gem in our little town. Large dining/sitting area just inside the entrance with large windows facing the cute well kept courtyard. Mom in the smallest room but I would live there large bathroom with walk in shower plenty of room for bed living room…

PositiveAt times they seemed short staffed especially in the kitchen. They communicated with the family well and everyone was friendly and provided good care. I think Homestead of Leavenworth is a great choice for someone looking for assisted living.

PositiveWhen it comes to the activities I do wish would have more but mom not always remembers. It is pricey but so far worth it. The place is lovely and inviting. My mom is thriving there. Bonus they allow pets and pet visits! Would like to have more in the website (with maybe a logon) activity calendar, rules and regulations, floor plans, meal menus etc.

PositiveExcellent management. I'd be happy living there if I needed to. Also very personable and conscientious staff. My dad passed away while I was there, and it was obvious the staff had dealt with that before. They delivered a spread of food and drinks as immediate family assembled there. Mom is still there.

CriticalI strongly suggest people stay away from this facility, [name removed] who runs this establishment is a spiteful woman who will throw your loved ones out without any warning (but they make sure they get their money first) it's so poorly ran staff leave due to hostile work environment and the residents suffer by not having any activity time or not even allowed to go to the courtyard.
