★★★★★
PositiveThe staff is friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Hyland Hills to others.

PositiveGetting back from rehab took forever and they always sent you out! It didn't feel like they cared! A couple of the caregivers were amazing!
Response from the communityWe appreciate you taking the time to write a review. I understand needing to go to rehab can be frustrating. If/when we recommend rehab it is because it is in the best interest of the residents. We always want to set them up for success. Due to the fact that the community is non-medical community, there are certain times we are required by state regulations to send a resident out. We have implemented a new program with a third-party company which has allowed us to decrease the amount of emergency room visits for our residents. We care deeply about our residents, and I would love an opportunity to speak with you further about any concerns you have had.

CriticalMy wife died after being there for one week. She fell out of bed w no guardrails and hit her head. They charged me $[removed]. I never even got a phone call to apologize. I would not recommend the place to a dog. We were there less than a full week before hospice was called in. The whole experience was a horror show. I had to take her for a cat scan my self. I didn't even get help getting her to the car
Response from the communityMy heart goes out to you and the experience you had at the community your wife lived in. Please take a look at the community you left the review for as we have never had a resident who has passed away from falling out of bed and hitting their head and have never had a resident pass away after living in the community for a week. Our protocols require my staff to immediately call EMS if a resident hits their head, we don't wait for family to take them to the hospital. Had this happened in my community, I would have been the first person to reach out to you. My sincere condolences for your loss.

PositiveBeautiful newer facility. Good food, caring staff. Highly recommend Hyland Hills to anyone.

PositiveMy sister honestly has no complaints and continues to thank us for finding this place and moving her. My sister is considered independent living so she does not interact with nursing staff much. She knows all the kitchen/dinning room staff and the few who didn't work out she felt comfortable to letting the boss know. The cook comes out to visit in the dinning room sometimes. I have never visited that some staff or several have not greeted me. When my sister has been sick the care giver who normally just checks in …
Response from the communityThank you so much for the glowing review! The staff is amazing and does their best to make sure every resident feels like they are part of the family.

CriticalWe moved her because care was extremely poor. The place is surface nice and the staff was friendly but they don't want to take care of people that need assistance or have health issues. You better be healthy. We moved her due to lack of medical attention. They thought she was just dramatic and lying about her pain. 2 compression fractures to add the those already there later....several falls because of ignored know pain. She didn't seem interested in the food and other residents complained in general about it. They…
Response from the communityI appreciate your feedback. Although, I am a bit confused as we have not had any residents who have had compression fractures, and we haven't had any residents who have given notice to move out of the memory care neighborhood in the last 18 months. I would love to speak with you further regarding your concerns.
