Very caring staff

For the most part, the facility has been excellent, very clean. The staff is very caring. The communication between staff and family members could be better, but for the most part, we are happy with the facility. I would rate it at four. I would recommend

Family Experience

The combination of the warmth, approachability, and responsiveness of the staff and the beauty , warmth and most importantly functionality (livability) of the physical environment - really makes Independence Manor very special. By the way my sister saw a staff member approach a resident who was soaking up the sun this weekend outside on the porch. He addressed the resident by name asked if she needed anything and offered to get her a lemonade. It's that kind of attentiveness and care that makes Independence Manor…

Overall a very nice community

Friendly staff. Nurses, aides and physician are great! Recent renovations inside facility and new outdoor patio. Nice music throughout. For myself, close proximity to Hunterdon Medical Center and my home residence.

Great Staff and Overall Care

Independence Manor is definitely a good place - not all of them out there are. The care is MUCH better than it was when we got there initially, when they were still in a transition period with different staff members and aides (like a lot of facilities were at the time). Now that they have a more established set of aides, things are much better, and Mom is doing much better. They offer plenty of activities. It's located in a lovely area. The facility is very clean. Our family had an in person tour and we just thought it was to big, they had multiples floors, elevators and for our loved one with memory loss we just thought it would be to overwhelming.
