This facility and staff are wonderful. Dad was a long-time resident in the Independent Living portion of the facility. He also had a garage in the basement for his vehicle. He greatly enjoyed the ability to come and go as he pleased. For many years, he went to "work" in his local shop six days a week. As he progressed in age, and his health declined, he was able to move to the Assisted Living portion of the facility. Independence Village is fantastic. They offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care living options in one building. The thing that sets them apart is the staff. The care team is outstanding because they genuinely care about all of their residents. They constantly go above and beyond to make sure the residents are safe and comfortable. My parents moved in about 6 months ago. Last month my mom said she has never lived anywhere where she felt this safe.
