PositiveThe staff is very caring. Best part. I think folks mean the very best when they do this, but sometimes we also need to hear the bad news. When [name removed] brother died, my husband had thought about maybe driving her up to Minnesota, which would be hours and hours in the car. I was not sure that would be good for her health and so I asked him to ask the caretakers if that would be something that would be good. They were willing to do everything they could to make it happen. We very much appreciate that. However, …

PositiveThey always take time to answer questions and don't make us feel dumb. They also help [name removed] to feel a part of a community and we appreciate it.

CriticalOur family had an in person tour with Ramsey Village and it was a negative tour experience. The manager told me the wrong pricing said it was [removed] a month for independent living. I asked her twice and she stood by it but you all said oh that's not correct. That was not accurate. And its was just old and nothing nice about it . The tour was very short and no questions answered
★★★★★
PositiveI had a good tour experience overall with Ramsey Village, but I felt that the facility had more of an old and depressing atmosphere. That was the main reason we did not choose that facility.
★★★★★
CriticalThe positives are he likes the location in terms of it being somewhat wooded. There area animals that come up such as deer, rabbits, squirrels. He likes all the big trees. The neighborhood is close to Drake University which does make traffic a bit heavy at times. He has a great apartment that is a good size. The biggest complaint he has had overall would be the temp control in the rooms, it is either too hot or too cold which is frustrating. Other than that he has been pretty satisfied with the experience.
★★★★★
PositiveMy parents love it there. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The apartment is beautiful. The only reason I rated activities down a little is because we thought there would be accommodations for travel to places like Hy-Vee, CVS, etc. But otherwise they have plenty of activities.
