Kauhale Byrd Springs

Would recommend.

My overall experience is good. There is one nurse that isn't very friendly at least wasn't to me. I try not to have to talk to her. My father doesn't like the food there but that could by his tastebuds. All the administration is kind and willing to answer any of my questions or concerns quickly . [name removed] doesn't participate in very many activities but they have a calendar full. They keep the room clean and his laundry done . I'm happy overall with the facility.

Outstanding elder care!

A friend of ours recommended Kauhale to us for my father in law. We could not be more pleased with this facility! Everyone we've met is kind and courteous, and they obviously care very passionately about their patients. The facility is sparkling clean and beautifully landscaped. There are a wealth of activities that include things like dominoes, musical events, and family gatherings at the facility, plus regular monthly excursions out for lunch, fishing, or shopping. 1. The staff is extremely responsive to any requests. 2. The meals are great the only complaint the Mother in Law ever says "I can't eat it all". So we'll take tab as an "A+" in the grade book. 3. They have activities that the family are invited to attend.

Kauhale Byrd Springs

There were two price increases in 7 months, and we were private pay. The transportation bus was broke down for around 4 months. The promise of repairs each week that never happened and he would be on the books needing a ride and no notice of issues ahead of time so many missed appointments. On another note the techs were wonderful with him. [name removed] was amazing. I believe the bang for your buck is good but seems unorganized by management at times. Review for Kauhale Byrd Springs

All employees showed sincere caring about/for the residents. More than service with a smile! I have recommended Kauhale to others already. It's a small enough community to not feel lost in the crowd. All residents were called by name by all employees, whether management, cook, maintenance, med distribution or aide. A small assortment of alternate meals were available if the menu of the day was not desired.
