Critical1. Rate a 3/5 - Everything was great until they went into being purchased. It all started falling apart in [Date Removed] when the director left. At that point, the dishwasher broke and didn't get fixed for 3 months. They served the residents on styrofoam plates with plastic pre-packaged cutlery that the residents didn't have the dexterity to open, and that's just one example. The freight elevator that also serves half of the residents is consistently out of service and during the transition time in [Date Removed],…

PositiveWhat we like the most about the community is that the residents are friendly and the location has a nice outdoor area nearby for walking. Activities organizer does a good job getting in visiting musicians and planning in-house activities. They are very open and friendly about having family gatherings and allowing use of the large group rooms
★★★★★
PositiveWe are concerned because the property was just sold to new management. It is very clean, and the activities are frequent, of good quality, and well-attended.

CriticalUnfortunately due to a quick downturn in health, my friend was not able to do any activities and only went down to dine once. She did like the food, and the staff was nice to her and helpful to us when we had to move her things. She had to go into skilled nursing last week which was sad because she loved her apartment at Kensington. It was well landscaped and she really enjoyed the view from her windows.
★★★★★
PositiveThe residence and the staff are both very friendly and incredibly welcoming. The food has been very good though the serving staff has changed often. My one complaint is that some of the activities are TV based like chair, yoga, or some of the other exercising is not led by a human in front of them but is a loop on the TV the residence do love chair volleyball and the place is kept clean.
★★★★★
PositiveHonestly everything has been great. We are very happy with it. The staff are friendly and attentive. The other residents are cheerful and eager to make friends. There is strawberry ice cream in the dining room EVERY day.
