CriticalFood was terrible, my mom wouldn't eat there. I never saw fresh fruit or veggies, (except banana) canned or frozen. No available water options, you had to remember to ask for it, but coffee available all day long??. Also, they'd ask residents if they want to eat, when you have dementia, you don't feel hungry. I put it my mom's plan they must bring her to meals, but they'd let her stay in her room, skip meals and give her a cheese stick. She lost a lot of weight in 2 months. She started falling a lot (trips to ER c…

PositiveThe presentation was excellent in answering questions - especially on heath care. The facility was nice and welcoming. Unfortunately they have a very large waiting list. But I would not be comfortable in the cottage as the back porch is fully enclosed. Nice to sit and look out I guess but I would want to be able to enjoy the yard and not be fenced in. So it is a no for me.

PositiveIt was a perfect transition from rehabilitation hospital ( several months) back to the real world. While at Lakeview, my sister-in-law was busy, engaged, and began advocating for herself . She gradually began taking responsibility for how her care needs could be met. She never wanted to stay there long term. When she was there we knew that she was safe. Her overall health improved with the supervision and schedule. She benefited from the social activities and gradually learning her medication and pulmonary care reg…

PositiveGreat staff. Feel that for $[removed] we should be getting more in terms of proactive care. Mom needs her toenails clipped and to be seen by a podiatrist. That dr only comes every other month. Due to an activity the facility was having, she missed her appt. We have had to remind them to make sure she is seen as soon as she can be since she is in pain. She also has a prescription for agitation that was written in a way that allows them to increase her dosage if agitation increases. This hasn't happened and her agita…

CriticalMy parent has been in memory care for a short time. I haven't received any updates about them. The past 2 times I've reached out to the memory care director he hasn't responded or reached out to me. I'm there frequently and have to advocate for my parent on basic routines to help them and the care giving staff support them. The care giving staff are very kind and helpful when I'm there but there's not enough caregivers. I also am not receiving statements from the business office.

PositiveIt would be helpful to have an orientation booklet which describes mealtimes, how to arrange for a meal in your room, how to call for assistance, when to use the " emergency" button on the lanyard, medication dispensing, etc. My loved one moved in quickly, and didn't have a very organized first day. The staff are friendly, respond in a timely manner, and are conscientious. The maintenance staff was especially helpful. She really enjoys the activities and this has helped to make this move a positive experience. Al…
