PositiveLoved most of the staff, location, facilities. Improvement: nurses seemed to change frequently, requiring each of them to get to know my Dad and resulting in some guidance having to get reiterated several times before it was followed through on (for example, at one point medical staff suggested not forcing my Dad to eat but nurses kept trying to feed him for a day or two)

PositiveIt was close to my home. Very convenient to visit. Property was lovely. Clean and most recently painted. AIDS and nurses were friendly. Very pleasant atmosphere. Response to care needs some help. Especially at night. My cousin has Parkinson's and cannot walk. When he went there he did physical therapy, but still could not walk after 6 months. He has to be moved immediately. I'm not happy about this because they knew it was a problem for some time. Now I have to find a place for him again. Not happy about this Over…

CriticalTheir resident care director is well meaning but very disorganized. I'm never sure whether the folks are getting the care we are paying for. Overall, it's not run down, but certainly not fancy in any way. Meals are not listed anywhere except posted in the hall right beforehand, so it's difficult to assess whether the menus are healthy or have variety. Overall, the only reason our folks are there is because they are in the same town as us.

PositiveMy mother was a resident at Ledgewood Bay and things were very good for her when she was here. Communication with the family is solid. The Executive Director is very accessible and approachable. She showed me much empathy when my mom passed away. I wish they had the next level of care for non-ambulatory elderly, for my dad. I worry about having to move my dad at some point because of this. He's still a resident at this facility and he loves it here. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

PositiveWe picked this community because of the location. Good staff, but the facility and meals are just adequate. Food especially is no better than fair, especially disappointing given the cost. I would maybe, recommend others.
