PositiveStaff is very welcoming. My father-in-law was negative about the move and never gave the place a chance. Rooms are nice size. A/c and heat are adjustable in the bedroom and the living room. Try to get a room close to the dining hall to increase the likelihood that your loved one will go to meals and activities. I thought the meals were good. He thought they all tasted the same. He is not eating anything regardless. Hospice works well with the Lorain Estates staff. They need a larger parking lot for visitors.

CriticalMemory care CANNOT help patients that have Parkinson'sDementia. Nurse aides DO NOT respect leadership and mouth off to patient loved ones. Even if you sign papers to be contacted by EMS before they tote your scared mother with delusions and paranoia to ER when she has no injuries they send her without calling. I only knew my mom was in hospital becaue they contacted me. Did not hear from Lorain Estates for 3 DAYS!! ER Dr. did not want my mom sent back there. They sent her to ER 6 times in a few days. She had no inj…

PositiveI have a friend that has her grandmother there and was very happy with the place. The staff during the day is so loving and caring.

PositiveGood location: Wide variety of shopping in the immediate area, very close to I-90. The staff was always very attentive and professional. Every resident I spoke with , including my aunt , who resided there briefly, complained about the food. The building itself is pretty old and dated, but they do keep it clean. We especially like the single level floor plan of the entire property.

PositiveWe toured the place and had a great overall experience. If one were in need of residence i think that Lorain estates would be a good fit for many who would need or want to change there living situation. All the people that we came in contact with were very friendly and professional.

PositiveI appreciate the time [Name Removed] spent talking with me and for the tour of the facility. It was at the end of a long day, so most of the "friends" seemed to be winding down for the evening. Those that were about seemed pleasant enough chatting with one another and walking their laps around the building. It was nice to see such bright and airy common spaces. The memory care area seemed safe and well lit. Some friends were in a common area there and seemed to appreciate a visitor. It did, however, smell like urin…
