Magnolia Senior Living experience

1) The staff are not well trained. 2) Because staff are not well trained the administration encourages medication to manage residents. 3) There are no comprehensive, industry proven memory training exercises for residents. 4) Employees have been fired only to be rehired. 5) The current director has lied about having a medical background, i.e. stating she was a nurse when she is not. 6) Lots of staff turnover. This is the #1 red flag when choosing a senior facility.

Do not recommend - Lack of care

Unfortunately, it was an awful experience. I understand they went through some management changes, so maybe it's better now. I'm really a pretty easy going person, and don't write bad reviews....but this really was a bad experience. My father went there mid October and was under hospice care. (They have hospice care right there at the facility, which was awesome! And....the hospice nurses were incredible!) Subpar care for dementia residents

My dad was in memory care, approved initially with ostomy care. There were numerous areas that needed major improvement for most of the ten months he resided there but to no avail. We had a camera in his room so there was plenty of proof. His mental health started declining rapidly at the beginning of 2025 and we were told they could no longer care for his ostomy along with other things they were claiming. Magnolia is the best!

There have been some recent changes in management at Magnolia and those changes have made a huge, positive impact! They have staff who genuinely care about the residents and their families. The new management staff actually listens and takes action when working with residents and their families. The food situation is slowly but surely getting better. The Activities are wonderful. Residents in both AL & MC are kept pretty active in doing activities. The building itself is beautiful and does not have a foul odor like…
