The staff was extremely unprofessional. My mother has a mental illness that they we were well aware of when I signed her up. I was with the director for two hours before I signed her up to discuss this. My mother can be verbally, rude, however, the staff took it personal and was extremely rude back and obscenities were going back-and-forth between my mother and the staff. Affordable

My loved ones are in a room made out of cinderblock with no window. It reminds us of a hotel from the 60's that got converted into a community. The community has been able to accommodate my loved one's preferences of eating in their room. The room is a adequate and they were able to bring their own furniture. They have a small refrigerator, microwave, and a sink in their room. The community has a porch and an activities room for the residents.

The Mayfield Retirement Center feels welcoming and homey. Everyone from the Administrator to the cleaners are concerned about each and every resident. The interactions between people who work there and each resident make it clear that they care. Even the residents are very friendly. My husband was making friends within two weeks after he arrived there. He is slow to pick up on the activities I think he would like, but a comment to those on duty gets him a reminder of them. Friendly, professional staff

I think they've done a great job so far at Mayfield Retirement Center. I really like the smaller size of the community, everyone gets a lot of individual attention. You're not just a number here. The staff are very friendly and professional, and they've been taking great care of my loved one, she is doing very well here.
