My 1st 11 days at Merrill Gardens

The thing I like the most at Merrill Gardens (besides not having to cook or clean) is the atmosphere..it felt good the day my daughter and I visited and it still feels the same now that I’m living here.. everyone has a smile and a hello and seem to be happy…I’ve felt welcomed by staff and residents alike..only 2 complaints… my TV hasn’t worked for over a week now and I miss it! Have turned in a work order at the front desk a couple times.. the other thing is no storage in the bathroom..I’m using a storage bin..I ha…

Definitely recommend.

The staff are amazing. They have been extremely responsive to all of our needs and concerns. Every place could use a full time doctor and 3 nurses that are "hospice care" level humans. (Think Angels) You are not going to find that at any reasonable price point. I think in general they have been great. Truly. For the money the activities and food are better than most. Merrill Gardens at Sheldon Park

My dad suffered a stroke 20 days in and was dehydrated although I was paying for them to take him to the dining room I don't believe they were. He had indents on his knees for being on the floor so long and took hours to call the hospital or myself to get a report thus they didn't do the stoke protocol due to the delay in reporting. The person who sold me on the placement was great but minute I signed everything was chaotic and all over the place. Feces left in the hallway I had to report to get cleaned. It was not…

I am impressed with the staff. They are both friendly and anxious to help. The activities are diverse and seem to be fun for all. My daughter has made a number of new friends. My overall impression is a very positive one.
