PositiveFor us this has been a wonderful experience so I would give them a 5. We are in the 370 building which is the most independent setting. The residents here are very friendly and welcoming. They give us breakfast daily which is served buffet style. Always excellent. And they have something different entree every day along with standards such as fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal and fresh muffins daily. There is a group of residents that have an entertainment committee which plan special events just for this building. …

CriticalI'm in an apartment in one of the 'cottages'. The overall size is fairly generous, though apts. even at same rent (I think), in same bldg. vary in size, shape, and amenities. Mine has lots of sq. footage, but closet space is very limited (some have walk-in closets, different space arrangements, and a dishwasher). All NEW appliances, but teeny-tiny kitchen, and a (to me!) annoying! scary, inefficient electric stove, and just under the (very noisy!) microwave, so if you actually USE the stove, it cannot also vitally …

PositiveMy husband and I were looking for an assisted living place for his sister and her partner. Both had health issues and his sister had definite opinions as to what she wanted and where she wanted to live. We toured many places and nothing made her happy. Once she stepped into New Horizons, she felt at home. Everyone was warm and inviting and the facilities are beautiful. She has lived there for over two months and couldn’t be happier. The care she has received is excellent. People go out of their way to accommodate h…

PositiveIt has a nice community feel. It's also a larger size so there are more people and activities. It large interior allows my mother to get long walks in the winter months. They also have a church and my mother goes to Mass almost daily. She loves the exercise classes and the food is generally good

PositiveNew Horizons has been really great for my parents. They continue to rave about the food. My mom is really enjoying the activities and my dad attends the occasional event and really enjoys it as well. From our perspective, it is always clean and well kept. The residents we have interacted with seem happy. Hope this is helpful.
★★★★★
PositiveI like that they have helpers. They walk around in red shirts and help if people get lost or need help with their tech or any other small thing. I wish they had online billing. You can pay online, but all communication is through the post mail. I wish there was more digital support.
