CriticalThe front desk staff were nice, if not a bit chaotic, as there was some sort of mixup. Even with an appt they weren't prepared for me. The gal that got stuck doing the tour was very sweet & obviously liked her job, however when I asked to see the memory unit, I was shocked at how filthy the tile floor in the dining room was. It looked like it hadn't been mopped in months. Really depressing. The rooms were fine, but residents are not allowed to take their meals in their rooms. They *have* to eat communally. One of …
Response from the communityMs. Molly, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry your arrival didn't reflect the welcoming and organized visit we aim to provide. We also want to clarify one point: residents are not required to dine communally. We do encourage it, as shared mealtimes are an important part of daily life and social connection in our community, but room dining is absolutely an option. Cleanliness is a standard we hold ourselves to without exception, and your feedback has been shared with our team. We'd welcome the opportunity to show you a fuller picture of our community — please don't hesitate to reach out.

PositiveNew Perspectives is an absolute gem. A gorgeous facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff, a bistro where you can order off the menu if you like, community rooms, tv room, classes, an outdoor space, spacious apartments, and all for less money than what we were paying at a subpar facility!
Response from the communityHi Tonia, We are grateful for you sharing your positive experience. At New Perspective, we always strive to provide top-quality service to every resident, and we are thrilled to hear that you are happy here!

PositiveI thought New Perspective was a place that my mother could thrive. It was clean, bright, and pretty. The people there seemed happy too. The space is kept well and I felt welcomed on my tour. They seem to have a variety of fun activities for seniors and I also noticed that families were there visiting their loved ones and felt welcomed.
Response from the communityHi Rhonda, We extend our gratitude for your positive review! It brings us joy to hear that your experience at our community was a positive one. Your comments will be happily shared with our team!

PositiveWhat I like the most about the community is the cleanliness, however no, I wouldn't recommend. Perhaps with the new management change that I believe happened a couple months ago, it is now better but poor quality of care and lack of activities would prevent me from endorsing it as a place to go. All else, was, as I wrote, about a level 4 on the scale.

CriticalStaff was horrible, from executive down to aids. Aids yelled at my mother-in-law, did not approach her with understanding or compassion, they gave orders instead of suggestions. There was no activities for the first 2 weeks as they were not an activities director. Once one started, the activities were pathetic, and no one attended them. Dining was depressing. Not great food options and everyone had their own tables and people they like to sit with. Very uninviting and non-inclusive. Overall horrible experience.
Response from the communityHi, We are very concerned to hear about your experience. The interactions you describe with staff, the activities program, and the dining environment fall short of the standards we hold for our community. We take these matters seriously and are committed to ensuring that every resident is treated with compassion, respect, and inclusion. We encourage you to reach out directly to us at info@npseniorliving.com so we can better understand your concerns and address them appropriately.
