PositiveI would give a 5 to all but #4 bc my the patients weren't showered or changed often enough, my mom got outside once& into someone else's bed. However I would definitely contact A Place For Mom again if we need to. It's too bad Portland House closed. It was about perfect for her & us.

PositiveWe picked them because, it was close to family. As far as care yes I would recommend BUT my dad got a check for [amount removed] then we were told he has to repay that back to the facility. That made no sense and it was shady. We paid it back but I don't think it was right

PositiveIt's never a good time to decide on assisted living facilities. Portland Place has been a great fit for our Dad. The staff is very caring and shows love constantly to the residents. They never hesitate to reach out to us about things we need to know. So happy with the whole place... !!

PositiveI love that the staff knows all the residents by name. It's the advantage of a small facility. Room sizes are excellent. My mother gets compliments on her "apartment ". It is a more small, personal facility. That's the reason we chose Portland. We thought a larger facility would be overwhelming and she would get lost among all the other residents.
