Our experience so far

My loved one is currently a resident at Prestige Senior Living West Hills and things have been very good so far at this facility! My loved one's apartment is very nice. The facility is nice and very clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good. The response to assistance request (help button) time is great, also.

My husband and I toured this community and were very impressed. The staff we ran into were kind and took the time to speak with us. Everyone was welcoming. We came during a meal and the residents seemed to enjoy what they were having and were friendly to us too! The facility was clean and bright and was refreshing to see. The room we toured was a great size for his mother and seemed modern with beautiful wooden floors. We were very impressed with our experience!

Extremely poor leadership resulting in poor care

The executive director and RN are new to West Hills as of early 2023. While there are some very sweet, helpful patient care aides, the overall situation at West Hills is extremely dysfunctional. Both of my parents, 89 and 91, live here. They do not feel management cares or even sees them. A resident told me she feels like she is treated like an animal here. Another one, who is wheelchair bound, said that one needs to be able to take care of themself to live here. While advertised as "restaurant-style dining," the q…

Works for me

Staff is always happy to listen to me. I can be a bit of a handful and get cantankerous. Staff is patient. And willing to joke around! After being here awhile you build strong connections. Those bonds you make are everything. Can't imagine living anywhere else.
