PositiveThey do get 3 meals a day and their rooms have recently been redone. My MIL has complained about the food lately. I'm not sure if them saving money or just giving her group less because they pay less and the ones that pay more sometimes complain about it. They seem nice and caring. She enjoys the exercise classes. They recently stopped giving them ice cream which has been a major complaint. They used to give them similar food to the independent people but now they're giving them AL food.

PositiveRedstone has a few independent rooms they call Select which don't require an equity buy-in. [name removed] was able to get one of those. It's much cheaper. They don't get to participate in as many activities and don't eat in the main dining room. They have their own dining room and get 3 meals a day where most independent gets 1-2 meals a day. We're thankful they have this program. You might want to make sure others know about it. She seems happy most days.

PositiveThe staff, at Redstone Village, needs to be more empathetic with family at the skilled nursing level.

PositiveMom is here and loving it! Definitely the best place of its kind in Huntsville. Also like the fact that it is run by committees of the owners. Its a little pricey by Alabama standards, but its literally a quarter of what it would cost up here in the Northeast (New Hampshire).

CriticalThere have been several appeals for contributions for Christmas bonuses and a food bank for the employees, use of families streaming subscriptions for football games. Plus, during the first Covid outbreak in the facility, they requested family members come sit with their infected resident to prevent falls. I would not be surprised to learn that they are having financial difficulties.
