I couldn't be more pleased with McCandless of Ridgecrest. My loved one fought going there tooth & nail. The staff assured me that she would change her attitude in a few months. It took a little longer to adjust but she has made friends & has 2 besties that she pals around with. Participates in activities and has had dramatic improvements in her cognitive and physical abilities. I can't express how grateful I am for the care she receives.

Ridgecrest of McCandless

Shout out to all the med techs and aides for all their hard work and they keep smiling during the tough days!! Also Sheri at Happy Hour and Sat with my Mom at dinner to make sure she had broiled not sauces healthy dinner. Also all the ladies at the bistro. They rock. Also Sharif was excellent to us as well as Chef David helping us find and open the pool during our first swim. The facility is so clean and bright.

Review for Ridgecrest of McCandless

We are very pleased with Ridgecrest McCandless. It's obviously a lovely place. My sister has received excellent care. Her condition deteriorated rapidly and she was provided with excellent care that kept up with her difficulties. At one point she was referred by doctors to a "skilled nursing" facility. We took her back to Ridgecrest as the care was superior. The activities are fabulous. They bring in all sorts of musical talent, have parties etc. They take guests into Pittsburgh for cultural events. We interviewe…

Ridgecrest: If I was old enough to live there I would

All the staff I've met have been very accommodating for my mom. She talks about them by name almost like they are friends. Ridgecrest always has something going on. My mom has been enjoying (and winning) bingo. Most importantly she has in house OT and PT and her strength and mobility have greatly increased. As far as the food goes, I haven't eaten there yet, but every week there are multiple options on the menu that I actually want. I think they eat better than I do.
