Very impressed with Charter

I give everything a 5. I was really impressed with Charter when I was visiting and now that my sister has been there a month, I'm still very impressed and satisfied with the choice. When a new person moves into Charter, they really work hard to make that person feel comfortable and welcomed. Helping them to integrate into all that Charter has to offer and showing the friendliness of staff and other residents to feel like part of the community.

Hawaiian in Connecticut.

I'd give them 4 stars. Food is 50-50 someday better than others. Staff some are outstanding, CNA's are not that great. Very clean. Activity director is 5*! Exercise is great. The building is very nice. 90% positive. Upper management very open to fix a problem.

Struggles with memory care

Overall, there have been some challenges with communication and timely follow-through on certain requests and services, as well as occasional concerns with coordination of care. That said, the aides and nurses have been excellent - they are very caring, attentive, and supportive. The food has also been very good. The memory care setting may not be the right fit for every resident, especially for those who are more socially engaged, as opportunities for meaningful interaction can vary.

The place is beautifully decorated and that makes my mom feel special. They had a new "fall recognition system" put in to all of the apartments and we really liked that.
