PositiveWe are treated like family!
We absolutely love Riverside Senior Living! Our loved one is cared for like family, and given the chance to still have some independence and self worth as he has lived with Parkinson’s Disease for over 20 years! Riverside is family owned, and I can’t say how much that means in a day and age of corporate ownership and greed. They work with you and genuinely care! We are so thankful for this community, not to mention the food is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and spacious, and EVERY staff member will bend over back…

My mother is 96 years old and has lived at Riverside a little over a year. She enjoys the activities that she is able to participate in, especially Bingo. She has made many new friends and the staff has been so good to her. They encourage family members and friends to visit and participate in many of the activities and special events. Decatur Home Care, which is onsite, provides the assistance that she needs and they are very caring. The beautiful river view is an added bonus. I am so thankful we found Riverside!

We chose Riverside because of the word of mouth, it has a good reputation in our community. The apartment sizes here are excellent, she has a beautiful 2 bedroom and they have a variety of apartments as well with different amenities. The food here is very good, it is not typical institutional food. The chef actually teaches a class once a month for residents and get them involved and he takes recommendations on what to cook for everybody.
