CriticalInadequate care. Understaffed.
My loved one passed away last month, and her ring which was an heirloom went missing from her finger. Her teeth were never brushed, and I was sad to see her when the care was mediocre at best. The staff seamed to be on their phones a lot and not paying much attention.
Response from the communityWe know the heartbreak of losing someone you care deeply about and hope that you are finding peace moving forward. We wanted to respond to some of the issues you raised in your review. With regard to a missing heirloom. When someone moves into our community we advise family members and POAs not to bring/leave any valuables into the apartments. As time has passed, we hope that you have since found the heirloom or have filed a police report. We have made changes in care staffing and hired an experienced Memory Care Director who considers staff re-training a priority. Most importantly, we are hiring a new Executive Director who we expect will set the tone of excellence.

PositiveAmazing Special People
This is my first introduction to a memory care facility (not a perfect world). The amount of responsibility that goes into this type of work is unbelievably challenging most of the time. I have the utmost respect for all that are a part of Pacifica S.B. You are amazing, special people. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for all that in a day or night depending on shift. You are compassionate, caring, humorous, loving, patient people. I love you all!
