Good staff Care

Did not like their hospice group. [name removed] could barely get out of bed- so no activities - he could barely swallow so everything had to be liquid - I can't comment on food- he passed only after 2 months there- but the staff was good. That's what matters most to people.

Emotional comfort to the family regarding care of our loved one

The staff was very responsive , caring and professional - we liked the size of the facility and the program they offered - we liked the large back yard with fruit trees… also the size of the bedrooms allowed for the entire family to visit - The staff paid attention to detail and the individual needs of our loved one -

Location is near us, quiet street, home environment, level of care, and reasonable cost.Good care and very reasonable cost. Easy people to work with.

Unsanitary conditions-ROACHES

This facility has a major roach infestation. I had to move my brother after only a few months of living there. The roaches were so bad that I was afraid to sit down for fear that I would transport them to my home. I only witnessed them in the bedroom but if they were bad in the bedrooms you can only imagine what the kitchen must be like. Disabled and the elderly should like live in this type of situation.

I went to tour this property today to place my mother. Upon arriving I was informed this was a men’s home, however ,they had a private room for my mother. As soon as I walked in I was hit in the face with an overwhelming smell of air freshener, The House was dirty and shabby.I would never let my pet stay here let alone my mother! I honestly do not know how people who run these board and care homes obtain licenses.

This was a Men's Only residential facility. They referred us to another facility, which we are looking into, but having a difficult time meeting with the Administrator of 2423 Santa Fe Avenue. Still pending.
