PositiveThe people are very sweet and try to be very helpful. The problem is they say yes to everything but follow through doesn't seem to happen, example there's a lockbox on the Support handle outside my door that belonged with the couple that lived here before and I've asked since I moved in to have it removed and it's still there. Then nobody answers or lets me know when it's going to be removed. That's just one of the things. I love my apartment and they redid the whole thing flooring, kitchen cabinets appliances, exc…

PositiveMy husband and I are in our late 70’s and decided we no longer wanted the hassle of keeping up a house. We have been at Solista Salem for 6 months now, and love it. EVERYONE is genuinely friendly and helpful. There has been some staff turnover, but none of the services suffered as a result. They have just painted the entire place and it looks great. All of our questions and needs have been addressed in a timely fashion. Our director, [name removed] has been great. He sincerely wants to make this the best place poss…

CriticalThere is instability in management so being a first time renter the unwritten rules were a longer list than the written. Games haven't been up dated for a long time. Some games are closed because there is a limited amount that can play, they then save seats A lot of people need games or times to come out of their rooms. I came for more social times but everyone leaves after meals or don't come out at all

PositiveThe apartments we toured were very nice, easy to move around and plenty of light. We’ve eaten several meals in the dining room which was pleasant and the residents being very friendly. The menu allowed you to choose from 4 different meals and each one we ate was very good. The management staff that showed us the apartments, building including all the public areas and the outside grounds. All the staff were professional and friendly. The office/leasing staff answered all our questions and asked us what our needs wer…

PositiveOverall the tour was very good. We were shown a variety of different living options. Many were in a park like environment. The tour director did a professional job of answering questions. The downside of the living options was the physical location of most of them. Most are located on the side of a hill and present a potential falling hazard for people with balance issues.

CriticalMeals were well planned and the service was good. New ownership was taking place during our time there, make any real evaluations , however we found the staff as well as the residence to be very friendly and cooperative in activities. Overall, I would give the rating of about a 3. I believe the work is done now most most cases and I would recommend the place to anyone as they seem to have space available at a willingness to negotiate accepting residence.
