★★★★★
PositiveThe apartment was a good size. The staff was great, for the most part, but there was an issue with the nurse on my sister's first night back from a hospital visit. Initially, the food was great, but then declined somewhat and they served sandwiches a lot more than regular entrees. Overall, it was a good experience, especially for the price. I will add that my sister was discharged and we had a pretty urgent situation and STL Hills went out of their way to accommodate us, even going to do her assessment on a Sunday…
★★★★★
CriticalWe were very happy at first. But then a lot of the staff changed and things went downhill. Some of the staff has changed again and I am starting to see some improvements, but do feel more are needed.
★★★★★
CriticalI am giving St. Louis Hills a "1" because "0" is not an option. Before my mother moved in, the room was not cleaned at all. I had to bring in cleaning products from home to clean the room. The administrative staff gave me FALSE PROMISES from the very beginning. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who cares about their loved one. This facility is all about the money and definitely not about providing good/quality care.
★★★★★
PositiveThe room is an old hotel room which fits a full size bed, couch, desk and small table and chairs. The big plus is the window is wall to wall floor to ceiling, looking out to a residential hillside. Just right for someone who has been living in a basement for 16 years. The staff are very nice, cheerful and pleasant. They are doling out cigarettes to my partner to help her cut back on smoking.
★★★★★
PositiveOverall, St. Louis Hills assisted living and memory care do their best to make the residence feel as comfortable as possible. The one drawback of the facility is that it seems there is a lot of turnover of employees and that makes for some confusion for my sister.
★★★★★
PositiveWhat we like the most about the community is the proximity to my home, friendliness. More interaction with Residents - initiate contact with resident and promote involvement in activities. Understand all needs big or small and provide assistance. Friendly staff, decent meals, including housekeeping, laundry and minor health care assistance. Not the best facility, but substantial for the cost.
